Merry is a friend of Mark and Jeremy from Dartmouth University.
She is Canadian, and it is revealed in the episode Sectioning, the only episode she's in, that she studied ballet. It was possible that something almost happened between her and Mark romantically at Dartmouth. She later makes the moves on Mark when she is in her thirties, but Mark is tentative given that he has a girlfriend. At the end of the episode, it turns out that Merry is mentally unstable. This shows itself by Merry giving her pub to Jeremy and Super Hans for free. She is eventually sectioned and enters an acute manic episode with psychotic symptoms.
